First time at this restaurant. The setting is fancier than I thought. I ordered the Tom Yum with Chicken and shrimp on rice. I counted the shrimps - 5 of them and there were about 4 or 5 small strips of chicken - embellished in onions, bamboo shoots, tomatoes, etc. I was disappointed. Furthermore, the food made my stomach sick and I'm used to eating spicy stuff. The service was pretty slow - took about 30 minutes before the appetizer came. And another 15 minutes for the main dish. My daughter ordered salmon which was overcooked and my grandson had chicken with lemongrass which I cannot comment on (we did take it home). Food was overpriced. Banana spring roll was a whopping $ 8.00 and change! That's 2 small pieces and a scoop of ice cream. Sad to say, I would never recommend this restaurant. Maybe the bar is good. But I don't drink, so I can't judge that.
We ate there one night and found that the food was excellent. the esthetics of the restaurant were good and the service was excellent. We are making this one of our favourites!
We've eaten at Thi Fusion several times and each time have enjoyed impeccable service and delicious food.
Unfortunately, despite the fact that Kanata could definitely use a new restaurant this place is over hyped for what it can offer. The service provided is not reflective of the price range. The prices charged here are steep considering that the service provided is one step above a cafeteria. Ive never before made reservations at restaurant where I have to wait, wait and wait and finally track someone down to get them to seat my party. (the place had empty tables with waitresses walking around ignoring arriving guests) What is more, waiting for 15ish minutes for a drink reminding the waitress you need cutlery, a refill for drinks or water etc., give this place a failing grade. Take your money and hit a decent restaurant where the staff are hospitable and know what they are serving and how to serve.
